The deals don't seem way off or anything.
The signings; I think Gal can get more, especially if he has a decent payoffs. More than I would want to spend on Coleman. The Reimer one is the killer for me. 3.5 for 3 years on a 33 years old goalie with very little playoff experience? No thanks.

Coleman will get something close to what Hyman gets and even if galchenyuk has a good playoff I think the deal will be more like we gave you a chance when no one else would so now throw us a bone as for reimer he’s a quality backup that can play more than 10 games a season you look at the goalie market and there’s not a lot out there it’s definitely a risk tho.

@1994. I am not saying Coleman may not get that, I just don't think the Leafs should do it. Gal's time to make money is running out. If someone is going to offer him a 2-3 year deal between $1.5-$2M, he likely takes it and if he has a decent playoff, that is a reasonable thought that someone will, especially with Seattle depleting the depth pool even more next year.
Reimer is simply a no for me unless it is on the cheap. He may get 3X3.5 somewhere, but he shouldn't.

Coleman is probably worth that. Coleman beside Mathews and Marner would do the same as Hyman.

@LL. Reinhart is an RFA and going to ask for a raise over his $5.2. Not likely Leafs sign Coleman for more than they pay Hyman. Even moving Nylander and Kerfoot, I don't think we can fit all that in if we want a better bottom 6.

Paying Coleman 5 million is just not smart at all. Would Coleman help out the leafs? Absolutely! But you don’t pay a 3rd liner 5 million especially when 35% of your cap space is allocated to 3 players. Coleman at 5 million screams David Clarckson and we all know how that turned out. I’d offer Coleman around what Kerfoot makes. There is cheaper options out there that are just as effective available at every deadline. Hyman is definitely worth that but I’d wager he takes a discount in the 3.5 million range due to his father being worth hundreds of millions of dollars, his fit on the leafs and him being a hometown boy. I don’t see the point of breaking up the Tavares-Nylander chemistry for a mid pick and minimal cap savings. I also don’t get why San Jose would have any interest in Kerfoot being a bottom feeder rebuilding team. Also as good as Getzlaf is he’s not leaving the west coast. It’s Vegas, San Jose or Retirement. MAYBE San Jose or LA but doubt it.

I respect how you made a effort to be unbiased tho.

Coleman = hornqvist at age of hornqvist contract signing and that number was 5.3 so unless one of muzzin Brodie Reilly or nylander get dealt or unprotected or even a combo of kerfoot/ Holl leave then signing Coleman might be too rich

As for Reinhardt I see him getting Duchene type money and since nylander is way more beautiful I vote no to that trade

It’s not like it’s Kyle negotiating his contract at moment. If sam becomes a leaf his price tag becomes Nico H or Kyle C comparable then gets 7.5 easy.

Best to just keep baby blue a leaf.
