Don’t see any team every doing that no matter how rich

Carter retain yes that makes sense

Maybe just maybe LA retains 1.5 per year covering 10.5 in total over duration of his contract

But leafs are now over cap so no deal
9.5+2.75 =12.25

Still too rich for leafs.

Sorry Bygully. Just seemed like something a Kings fan would want in order to get out from under those brutal contracts and get young talent back. Whether or not LA would retain that much is a moot point to me. It is just a bad deal for Toronto.
