For the first trade I already know people will say over payment but if you want to get Severson that's probably close to what you pay might not be enough keep in mind we are giving up a 2/3 right winger and basically a third pair guy for a guy who is locked in for four years and at 4.16 that's a great deal for the leafs imo.

Second trade I think a third line center that can play like a jerk wouldn't be bad they talked about it on the Steve dangle podcast the leafs don't have a guy that naturally plays center in their bottom 6 except Spezza my thing is in a physical 7 game series can Spezza play that physical game every night idk but one thing I do know Kerfoot should stay on that 2nd line and Engvall should be a winger on the 3rd line for the leafs to use their roster to it full potential.

Lol like I said a third line winger bottom pair dman and a prospect for a top4 rhd signed for 4 years at 4.1 leafs will have to give up a lot to get a top notch dman.

Where are you getting your values? Dermott isn't a bottom pairing D he just is on the leafs and Kapanen isn't a third line winger. If Kappy played in Ottawa he would be 1PP and top 6. Just because that's what we have them as doesn't mean it's what they are. Muzzin would be a fine 1LHD on another team but isn't here. Tavares would be a great 1C on most teams but we have Mathews. Point being, players aren't devalued just because they are down the depth chart.

Based on your perspective of value I am going to say we make a trade for Mcdavid or Draisaitl. They can't both be top line centres so we can just give them a first and some prospects for their 2C.

Of course if you putting them in terrible teams they would be top players lol I’m basing there values on average to good teams kappy could play top six on some teams Dermott tho is not a top 4 defencemen I mean the coach has given him the chance and now Sandin has took his spot starting tonight I think a lot of trades on here are bias and a lot of people over value the leafs players.
