Time to take advantage of the Vegas cap situation. They need to move cap and get low cost NHL ready players/prospects and picks to fill a number of holes (centre,RHD, B/U goalie) on the cheap.

Leafs: Holl, Gauthier, Sparks, 3rd.

VGK: Miller, Subban

Subban will be looking for a raise over his league minimum contract and has proven to be a legitimate NHL B/U. $1.5M x 3Y?

I'm assuming Vegas wants picks and prospects only. They are significantly over the cap with the now W. Karlsson deal.

Picks are a nice way to gain cap space, but you still need to put a team on the ice. You can't go into a season with 3 lines, 5 D-men and 1 goalie of NHL caliber. ll the players I suggest are league minimum or close to it to fill needs in their line up with a 3rd as a sweetener.

The classic Leafs give up spare parts which mean nothing to Vegas. Neither of three have ounce of trade value.

Miller would be of use to many teams and Subban could turn out to be valuable backup.

You need to add more to Leafs of who they give up.

Agreed. could take 2 2nds or a second and B prospect or even Bracco which I’d be hesitant on doing.

Miller was benched last year. He’s a good player, but is in the doghouse. He’s not wanted in vegas. Looking at what Subban, who is a much better player got traded for, I don’t see why this deal couldn’t happen. Vegas would probably just give Miller away if they could.
