So uh.

Winnipeg doesn’t do that at all imo. Toronto would be adding a bit to Kadri not the other way.

Maroon is a UFA, absolutely no need for that.

That Pesce trade is literallly Timashov, Zaitsev and a 2nd for Pesce, Staal and a 2nd. Just say the 2nds cancel, now you got negative value in Z for a top4 dman and a good second-third line centre. Cause Gardinee is a UFA.

and you won't get a 5th for hainsey.

As much as some Leaf fans are trying to sucker a team into taking Kadri who has troubling baggage, the Jets wouldn't trade Trouba or Ehlers for him. You already stole Petan from the Jets who I believe never got a chance to play with skilled players in Winnipeg and could be a very surprising player for the Leafs. I really don't see the Jets and the Leafs making an big trades in the near future.

Kadri would be a non-starter for Trouba. About the only piece you have that you would be willing to trade would be Nylander. Nylander though would only work if the Jets scouts were absolutely convinced Nylander could play center in the NHL full time. If that were the case Nylander and picks or prospects might get you in the game.
