So with the first trade we free up 4.5 mil that goes to Hamilton and with brown and Johnsson and tymashov we free up about another 4 mil. Hamilton will be the cheaper player to acquire the canes won't do Pesce unless kapanen is included also I like this movement more cause Hamilton is a legitimate top rhd also I included gauthier I think he can make the team he's a big kid and can skate well could be a cheap option for our fourth line

Gauthier doesn’t look like he will ever make the NHL. He’s just not very good. Hamilton is very overrated. Leafs pass.

Just because gauthier isn’t putting up a pile of points doesn’t mean he can’t make the nhl I remember watching him in the world juniors and he was a great player also everyone think Hamilton is overrated just cause he’s not fitting well with Carolina the guy has had multiple 40+ point seasons not a lot of defencemen do that I think it’s great that he’s struggling makes him cheaper to acquire also he’s only 25.
