I will make suggestion for trade. Edmonton must make trades this summer or we will lose again. Edmonton must trade defense for forward. It is so very obvious.

To Toronto Evan Bouchard + Alex Petrovic
Now is good trade for both teams. They are both getting good players they need, yes?

Toronto trades Brown to Carolina for Saarela and Bean.
This trade is all about widening our prospect pool and dropping salary. Both Saarela and Bean look like they will be in the NHL one day.

If I remember correctly, Bean has history of concussions. And I don’t know anything about Saarela.
I’m a fence sitter on this one. On the one hand, I agree with 16. Leafs are in “win-now†mode. These guys do nothing to improve our odds, and may never even make the NHL.
On the other hand, I got to agree with mostleaf. Brown is overpaid and underutilized on the fourth line. He’s definitely expendable. I mean, how much would losing Brown really hurt the teams chances of winning?

Toronto trades Rosen to Detroit for Hronek.
Hronek is younger and righty. He could be better for us than Rosen?

I think Dubas would be all over this if the offer came his way, I'm not sure Detroit would be though. It would definetly help the leafs long term success, but detroit probably looks at this offer and asks for another prospect or pick. Remember they are rebuilding and Hronek is only 21 so I think It's highly unlikely that he is traded.

Gauthier doesn’t look like he will ever make the NHL. He’s just not very good. Hamilton is very overrated. Leafs pass.

If you’re trading Marner, you might want to be looking at Hanifin instead of Hamonic. Tkachuk is a real stud.

Blues still suck. All their players are old and slow. A bunch of hacks. Even their Captain is in decline. All those guys can stay in St. Louis. I would rather have Nylander and his speed and playmaking ability over Schenn any day.

Is Zaitsev really all that bad? Someone pointed out yesterday that until Muzzin came along, he was leading Leafs in hits. He isn’t all that bad really is he?
Marleau needs to go. He’s -3 on a team where every other player is +. I think that says a lot.

2 UFA’s for Zadorov is a risk Colorado might not be willing to make.
Timmons experiencing serious setback with major concussion. Anaheim already has a lot of very good young defensemen anyway. They might be looking for more forwards instead of Rasanen and Timmons.
