Edm: Campbell 50% retained, 2024,2025 7th round picks

It's a long time to retain. But it's also a long time to play him in the minors, not sure what their buyout options are after the year.

Why on earth would the leafs do that? Samsonov is gone after this season. Why take on even half of Campbell contract? Makes zero sense.

Not happening. He won’t be injured for long. Then what? Do you honestly thinks he’s better than Samsonov? I don’t think the leafs want Campbell anymore. Edmonton would have to pony up a decent draft pick if they really wanted Samsonov.

Edmonton trades:
Campbell + 2nd round pick.

I could not get on board with any reasonable trade scenario that involves Campbell to Toronto.

Probably one of the only good things Dubas did was not re-sign Campbell.

Bunting and Hyman were good finds. Dubas had his moments.
