I'm not a huge fan of acquiring a 33 year old, usually injured, defenseman with an $11.5 x 3 million dollar contract.
But I believe that is what Treliving is trying to do.
So my suggestion is:

To Leafs: Erik Karlsson ($11.5)

To San Jose: Matt Murray ($4.7 x 1 year), TJ Brodie ($5 x 1 year), 2023 - #28 pick plus a prospect
