3 team deal where NJ and Toronto go all in.

SJ
2023 1st (NJ)
2024 1st (Tor)
Engvall $2.25M(tor)
Holtz ELC(NJ)

NJ
Meier $3M (SJ)50% Retained.
($1M retained by Toronto and $2M retained by SJ)
Sandin $1.4M (Tor)

Tor
Graves $3.16M (NJ)
Svechnikov $.750M (SJ)
Okhotiuk ELC (NJ)

SJ gets a great haul for Meier. 2 1sts + a recent 7th overall pick. They take Engvall and retain $2M on Meier to make money work. They could still flip Engvall for a mid pick.

NJ picks up the prize of the Deadline (Meier) at 50% and a younger, yet less developed replacement for Graves by getting Sandin.

Toronto picks up a top 4 big D-man in Graves that plays physical and has some offensive upside while taking tough defensive assignments and killing penalties. They get Svechnikov for retaining on Meier to make the money work for SJ and NJ. Okhotiuk gives the Leafs some young D depth to equal out value of Sandin.

Big over pay by leafs and they’ve helped NJ more than themselves.

Basically a 2024 -1st round pick and Sandin for Graves.
I would do it though I think I would prefer Siegenthaler to Graves.
Both work though as top 4 defensemen, or on the Leafs, even top pairing defenders.
To get by both Tampa and Boston Leafs need an upgrade on defense.
I have read on 2 or 3 sites in the last couple of days that a
Boston - Columbus trade for Gavrikov is eminent with only a few details to be ironed out.
If Minnesota slides out of the playoff race in the next 10 days would Jacob Middleton be available?
