With tarasenko out 5 months st.louis could use some offensive help. Nylander is a huge upgrade from the drop off st.louis now has to replace tarasenkos offence.
Pie for Barrie is a wash since barrie is much much cheaper and both are ufas

Fabbri evens out the cap a bit closer and the 2 prospects is for the 5 plus years nylander has in control. Plus nylander is basically free in actual cash this season so st.louis might like that now with tarasenko out and needing to pay his salary while he is hurt..kinda evens out the cash for them

I would do Nylander+ picks, prospects for parayko instead.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. Basically Barrie and Pietrangelo are pretty much a wash. Which leaves Nylander for the rest. And I’m not sure those three guys are worth Nylander. Fabbri being injured for so long. It’s really hurt his development. I have a difficult time seeing him ever make more than bottom six player now. And Kostin and Toropchenko have a lot to prove. None of those three guys can replace Nylander beside Matthews right now. Not even close. We can try Kapanen again there, but I’m not sold he’s the right guy either. Next year, Pietrangelo would be gone and we wouldn’t have anything to show for losing Nylander in the lineup.

To sit here and say petro and Barrie ate a wash is all you needed to say. The blues say no. Petro is going to be resigned. Kostin is nhl ready and tore up pre-season. Kyrou is nhl ready as well and getting back into game shape after injury. We will be fine. Also they are moving Thomas to the first line. you know the bust of a player lol.

LOL. So Kostin gets points in preseason against jr players and you think he is tearin up the pre season. he has 5 points this year in AHL. he had 20 something points last year and was a -28.hardly tearin up anything.6 Marlies are doing better than him including 2 dmen.

The wash becomes the money saved between Barrie and Petro.4 million is a huge saving for st. louis. cap and actual money.

kyrou is garbage. thomas is only getting shot on 1st line because that's the drop off in talent st. louis has now with lost of tarasenko. its not because he is good its because its all they have.

Craiger I get that you like to act like you know something about hockey. let's start there you don't. Secondly Kyrou's numbers speak for them selves. Thomas is a stud and at 20 years old he is propping up a line of Sandford and bozak. They are moving him to the first line because they know he is the best player capable to take over that skill role. Even Schenn And Schwartz like is play and predict big things are coming. As for kostin he is a big power forward who put up big numbers in pre-season then went down to a rubbish san-Antonio team. He will be up then we can see how he does.

Doesn't matter that their is a 4mil difference the blues barrie is a sheet player and we have no need for him. He is Kevin Shattenkirk 2.0 and has done nothing for your team. Keep him and we will keep our players.

Petro will be re-signed and you will still be stuck with ceci, barrie and whatever crap dubas picks up LOL enjoy your season .
