Chicago is going to have to start rebuild

they will keep their best guys kane and toews and build around them by giving them young potential it helps them and bozak would just help to fill a roll.

For toronto they are looking at a playoff push

Toronto would be upgrading bozak to Debrincat who would play along side JVR and Brown.

If they're rebuilding then why are they trading one of their best young player for a bench warmer and an ageing center who has one year left?

Chicago teases Panarin. Don’t see anything about DeBrincat why they wouldn’t trade him while he’s hot and get a good return back.

Basically, they won’t be able to afford him. Leafs can wait and try to pull the trigger on a trade for him when Chicago gets more desperate.
