If Knies is going still could see Buffalo as the destination. I’m thinking with Benson signed, it comes back to a trade surrounding 4OA and, as per Chayka, a dman in Mrtka and McLeod and or Krebbs. I think we may add potentially slightly for both fwds but this is the bassist.

Top 10 pick Dman additional fwd. Does this deal go yay or nay? Btw Mrtka looks to be very similar to a Mo Seider type. This is extremely appealing!

I’m hearing from a buddy who lives just outside San Jose that the last few days they have heard the Sharks and Buffalo looking to swap #2 and the #27 they got from Buffalo in Kesselring deal for #4 and Krebs or McLeod.

Kinda makes sense. Gives San Jose more forward depth, allows them to drop down to #4 to grab a defenseman and they still have #9 as well.

Buffalo can then take either Stenberg or McKenna whoever the Leafs don’t take. There is speculation as well if that happens Buffalo might offer #2 and something else for Knies. In another universe possibly but who knows the NHL world is off its axis.

So the rationale they were talking about on the radio show he was listening to was the more depth (and they are very deep) at forwards was they could then go after a Stud defenseman in a package deal with 2 roster forwards and Dickinson. Werenski’s name kept coming up.
