O'reilly trade I like, Cowan for Wright I don't like, but I would certainly like to see a trade that brings Wright to Toronto to play with Cowan and O'reilly. That would be nice.

I’m not giving Tampa Mcmann and Benoit for a 19yr old who’s still playing in the OHL. Sorry rather get a 1st rd pick 2026 and a prospect which is what’s being floated as value for him. You shouldn’t so readily expose your lack of hockey knowledge.
Sam OReilly wasn't just Cowan’s teammate on the London Knights but also often his linemate.
The two played very well together.
O’Reilly is also a right shot a feature that only two Leafs currently possess, Nylander and Nic Roy (throw in Jarnkrok if you want).
O’Reilly will compete for a roster spot next year.
Why would Leafs prefer a late first round pick in 2026 or 2027 who will be at least 3 - 4 years away from competing to make the team.

You are very quick to criticize the vast majority of proposals, most often rudely!
Why don’t you focus on making your own proposals a little better balanced.

The 1st rd picks get u capital to make good hockey trades. That's how a retool id done not getting another kid and waiting for him to develop. That’s called a rebuild. You talk about hockey knowledge but you clearly are still grazing in the pastures. ?

Are you expecting multiple 1st-round picks back plus maybe a top-3 forward and a D-man who logs 24+ minutes a night in return for the trade chips Toronto actually has? Or are you living in some alternate reality?
