If Calgary has Carlo, it will make moving Andersson a little easier. Jarnkrok is a useful bottom 6 player that could be kept until the trade deadline and then probably get a pick for him.

Leafs get a fairly young 4th liner that will hit and fight if necessary while playing a regular shift. Brzustewicz is a puck moving RD prospect(almost 21) that is developing well. The 3rd pick balances values and adds an asset to the Leafs cupboards. Leafs also clear over $4M in cap space

Calgary already has weegar, perehk, and pachal for RHD without Andersson. So they aren't too concerned. But I do like targetting klapka.

Pachal is a 3rd pair D at best. Getting Carlo allows them to bring Perehk along without rushing him if they have Carlo and move Andersson.

Why are we looking for more 4th liners? We need a speedy playmaker not another 4th liner to add to the 8 we have already.

It's not about bringing in another 4th liner. It is about swapping the type of 4th liner and replacing a defensive D with a young puck moving D while creating $4M in cap space which would make another add much easier to facilitate if wanted.
