So Philly is apparently looking to move Frost.
Try a variation of my other 3 team deal and I feel noe, more than ever, McBain is the perfect fit for Toronto.
Utah
Frost $2.1M(Phi)
Holmberg $.8M(Tor)
Phil
Robertson $.875(Tor)
2024 3rd (Tor)
Tor
McBain $1.6M(Utah)

I don’t think that’s enough for Philly
Add niemela? Steeves?
Something ….

Grumpy. I thought the same thing when I first thought of this idea, but Frost has been scratched something like 5 games in a row and carries a $2.1M cap hit. Not done really anything more than Robertson has this year and Robertson is younger and cheaper. Just my thinking why the 3rd might do it. Maybe they want more.

RLF
Being scratched by torts is not a startling issue
Torts would sit his own son
You may be right though
The third may be enough ….

It might take a little more on the part of the Leafs but great trade for Toronto.
Philadelphia is in desperate need of goaltending so maybe one of Hildeby or Akhtyamov instead of the 3rd round pick?
Is that too much?
Basically, Robertson, Holmberg and Hildeby/ Aktyamov for McBain.
Little is lost with the departure of Robertson or Holmberg.
The value would be in the potential of either Hildeby or Akhtyamov.
My main concern is McBain blocking Minten’s development.
If McBain becomes Leafs future 3rd line center where does Minten fit?
He already seems too good to be relegated to 4th line center duties.
Though a center pool of Matthews, Tavares, McBain and Minten would make Toronto one of the strongest teams down the middle.
It would also allow the Leafs to attempt to trade Kampf.
Maybe Treliving could send Kampf (salary dump), and that 3rd round pick to Columbus for Mathieu Olivier to replace Reaves as 4th line RW?
