Looking like nylander will sign don't know the number but hopefully nothing silly but leafs still need to add so here are my deadline deals

Tor: johnsson or brown

Phil: simmonds

Then

Tor: gardiner

Flo: petrovic

My explanation here is Toronto need some grit on there roster and I think Simmonds is the guy strictly rental player he can play physical and can produce offensively. Petrovic is also on a one year deal only makes 1.95 mil we can resign him cheap
If we want or bring liljgren up next year all in all it fits the leafs needs

Simmonds coming on strong this year. Looking even better than normal. Leafs probably say no to this one. Brown is reliable and cheap multi-faceted player. And the same can be said about Johnson, who is said to have more upside than Brown. Simmonds is UFA. He is worth a 1st + prospect as a rental, not a roster player.

I don’t think Simmonds has ever been a bottom six winger, and I don’t think he would be miscast in that position on the Leafs either. If anything, Kapanen would get switched to LW or would be moved to 3rd line.
