I believe this improves the Leafs D by quite a bit..they do get a bit slower up front but the skill upfront is still there..

Not a chance kings trade their top 2 prospects. Gardiner (as we all know) is a ufa. So for them essentially to get just johnsson for that package is not going to happen.

Your other two trades are closer in value but when I look at your roster, the D is definitely improved but the forward depth is much worse.

Kapanen and Dermott are playing outstanding hockey this year. Value is at maximum. We should trade them.

And who better to trade them for than a young, talented, cost controlled top 50 RHD that can log over 20 minutes a night, playing all aspects of the game in a top 4 role? I mean, if Montour were a woman, I’d make him pregnant.

And Slavin. Outstanding. He really is. If Carolina is all in, then they can prove it. If Montour is the burger, Slavin is the root beer float.

The LA deal, I have to question if taking on Carter is worth it just to get Vilardi? He could be a real steal if his back holds up.

I love it Craigger. I really do. That defense is fantastic. Would be a hof team for sure.
