Philly is deep on D and Myers is buried in the minors and not likely to make the team.

The Leafs are deep on RW and the teams do a swap of prospects.

To TOR: D - P. Myers

To PHA: F - J. Bracco + 2019 4th round pick.

Leafs also toss in a mid round pick as Myers is slightly better valued.

Myers attends camp with a chance to make the team.

I like it. But I think Philly wants to keep Myers. Huge potential (undrafted too go figure)

Torontobuds is right. Myers is buried behind so many good Philly defensemen, he will be a couple years away from making the team, if ever. I don’t know if this would be enough to land him, but if Philly says yes, Leafs should go for it.

If possible, LEAFS should try to make TRADES outside the Eastern Conference - don't go helping out your competition.

Also, I think that Bracco (even though he still needs to grow) has potential of becoming another MARNER with his Skills, Creativity, and smarts.

I liked previous trade proposal for Montour but not so much for Myers.

Your advice for trading outside the conference is sound. But in this case, we are talking about a couple minor league players with limited upside potential for their respective teams. This is a depth trade that gives wither of the receiving teams a little more flexibility.

It’s not a blockbuster that will propel either team to become a powerhouse. I think it’s better to make a trade like this than to have either player waste away and eventually lose any value they might have once had.

Your assessment of Bracco is way off.
