Ok no more of your trades I’m taking seriously because Kadri isn’t getting traded with that awesome contract of his.

Yes, more trade proposals involving Kadri if there is any hope of landing a top 2 d-man. The selling point in a Kadri trade is his reasonably low salary cap hit for a 30 goal scorer. Besides Kadri is not seen as a core piece of the core group in Toronto. Let's be real now!

Kadri is definitely seen as a core piece of Toronto. But that doesn’t mean he won’t be traded. Now that we have Tavares, Kadri is expendable. We can downgrade to a solid checking 3C if Kadri doesn’t want to return to the ole he played for us.

To be honest, Kadri deserves to play a larger role than a shut down role as third line center, and he carries a lot of value right now, especially with that sweet contract of his. Would hate to see him go, but he is at maximum value right now and would bring a handsome return.

NO NO NO NO!

End the silliness now. Finally, we have THREE TOP Centers and now we're supposed to ruin it with a foolish trade.

Kadri is not just a Checking Center. He has developed into an all round player who happens to play Center, check the opposition's Best Center while chipping in 30 plus goals to boot!

@Leafs_GM

I wouldn’t say trading Kadri for Parayko is a foolish trade. Especially if we are bringing in Rask or someone’s if his ilk to replace Kadri. A top RHD is expensive, and I would prefer to trade Kadri over Nylander. I have a hard time seeing Kadri maintaining his offensive prowess with Johnsson and Kapanen as his linemates, especially if babcock uses him in a checking shutdown role again, like he was for most of his career.

The Leafs core group of players are Matthews-Tavares-Nylander-Marner-Rielly and Andersen. Notice how Kadri is not a part of the core group? He comes pretty close though and would be the Leafs best bet of landing a top pairing d-man to play alongside Reilly.

@Nylandermagi

Come on now. Anyone can name a core group of players. Lmao. Where’s Brown? You should have him in the core, as he’s so valuable. Just listing a half dozen players and calling that a core does not make it so. Kadri was drafted by the Leafs and has been in the team for years. Along with Reilly, he was one of the first players drafted with rebuild in mind. He has outlasted three gm’s, three coaches, and two captains. What makes you think he won’t be around a while longer?
