I think you know full well that the NYI trade you have proposed here is ridiculously out of question for the Isles. It only allows me to hit unbelievable once, or I would have pressed it 1000 more times.

Leafs have Hainsey for another year to cover us on RHD until Liljegren is ready. If we bring anyone in, i hope it would be a real star who will be with us for a long time.

Liljegren may turn out to be a stud, and there is a good chance he makes the Leafs next year, but just looking at how long it took Reilly and Gardiner (and other defensemen around the league) to develop, we should be enlisting someone for that top RHD spot asap and stop using Hainsey as a workhorse.

Don’t trade Sparks. Just think about Rask. Sparks needs to stay in the system. It’s messy given Macs performance and age. He did amazing last year. But it’s highly unlikely he repeats that performance. We need a back up who can play more games, is younger and on the rise.
