Tb gets some cap relief with straalman for a year they get a future stud in Willie who is worth giving up what they are Carrick is a bottom pair dman and prospect in Timashov or bracco
2nd rd pick is added to make it viable
they can spend what $ they have on wee Willy

Leafs get a versatile 25 plus goal scorer in miller solid and big will look good at wing with 34. Sign him 5.5 mill per for 5 years?
Straalman fills a huge void on d rh shot chance to extend him
Katchouk is a solid prospect future top 6 power forward

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be trading Willy to Tampa personally. They're already a powerhouse. Stralman's a stud but I wouldn't make this trade.

The average age in the NHL this year was 27.4. Which makes Stralman old. Lol. Yes he’s been doing outstanding on Tampa, but I don’t think we should be bringing him back. We need to be bringing in players for long term. Stralman might play until he’s 40, but for the most part, I would think he’s in the twilight of his career.

Nylander is at least as good as Miller, and probably better. Would rather just keep him.

Unless you are getting back another player between 20 - 24 years old with star potential then trading Nylander is a terrible idea.
Maybe Nylander and Leafs 2nd (#52) and Leafs 3rd or a prospect to the Wild for Matt Dumba to fill the void at RHD.
