With Kasimir Kaskisuo signing a 2 year extension with the leafs, I think they should trade Pickard. Obviously Anderson is the NHL starter than I think sparks should at least be givin a chance for the back up spot. And then have McElhinney be the AHL starter and Kaskisuo as the back up. I think the Leafs should keep Mcelhinney for depth reasons.

Also according to Bob McKenzie the leafs will NOT trade Nylander but would be willing to move Brown if the right deal was in front of them. The defensmen the Leafs have been linked too are Chris Tanev, Justin Faulk, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Alec Martinez and David Savard.

In my opinion out of these d-man we should avoid OEL although he is good he is an offensive defensemen which we have enough of. Same with Faulk who is a slightly improved Jake Gardiner. I would also avoid Chris Tanev because he is so injury prone. Out of the 5 I think David Savard would be the best choice.

This off season I think the leafs need to draft a Centre like Ryan Mcleod. They need to add a right handed d-man. And they need to move Gardiner. I'm NOT saying move Gardiner because of game 7, but I'm think it would be good to get a return from a pending UFA as Gardiner would not be re-signed by the leafs. Plus Dermott looks very promising.

Gardiner can’t skate backward

I watched him in the Tim hortons drive through last week . we whiffed using his “tap” . missed the debit machine completely, was tapping his card on the kids wrist asking “did it go through? ”.

I agree with you on your assessment that a Savard is the best of the five players you have listed here. UFA we can get him for the right price, I don’t see any reason not to pursue him. We could do worse.
