Craig the leafs currently can spend roughly 10.6 mill over the cap before day 1 or reg season, then on that day they gain the same amount from the Horton and Clarkson LTIR. The leafs do not need to free up more space for Marner, so no need to make those trades, if the wanted to go to 11 or 11.5 they can just run one less spare player on there main roster.

Mathews has more goals per game in his first 3 seasons than Ovi, so I’m pretty sure you’re drastically under rating how good he is.

Lol do we need some fact checkers here or what? The Mathews and kappy issue was written in the Simmonds article and the only thing that was mentioned was that Matt’s asked the coach to switch his line by removing kappy and adding Nylander. Lol literally nothing about a feud so I guess you made that up? The reasoning is obvious kap likes to shoot and Mathews needs passers.

Lol there is no rumour whatsoever from a viable source that Dubas is shopping Marner. Just because you say rumour has it doesn’t mean it’s true.

Connor is not better than Nylander, nylander has back to back 61 point seasons, Connor has had 1 good rookie season, let’s see next year to see if Connor can get to nylander, I don’t understand rating a rookie over a proven player.
