I’m thinking Carolina would pass on this trade. Nylander is probably an upgrade over Skinner, but not by a whole lot. And Borgman for Faulk seems a real underpayment.

Bieksa’s best days are far behind him. Signing him to replace Polak makes sense. Putting him ahead of Zaitsev does not.

Makes more sense to me.

This is probably a better defense than we had last year. Although I’m not convinced Faulk is our answer for 1RHD, he is a good player to have on top line next year and after, until Liljegren is ready or we bring someone else in, and drop Bieksa and Hainsey altogether.
