Simple trade, a real hockey trade. The leafs have more strength on the right side with higher end talent. So average it out.

Straight up nylander has more skill, tkachuk has more edge, will be a bit cheaper, could use that money when kapenan and Johnsson resign. Getting the leafs lines to looks similar to:

You have many choices on the 3rd right dman and can get some decent options for the 3rd center. A couple options to try out internally. But the last 2 lines have experienced interchangable pieces that can move up the line up and help protect if the rookies make mistakes
