What do we think Gardiner value is on the trade market? Wondering if it’s more of a case of us having to give something up for a team to take him?

He is pretty bad, Boston series showed it (game 7 really showed it )

You might laugh at me, but I actually think he is cross eyed and can’t see properly . he gets out of position very easily and literally stands there and doesn’t know where to be .

Maybe we can get a 4th or 5th rd pick for him if we retain 50%?

Believe it or not, Gardiner still has value. He is a fast sakating, puck moving defenseman who can play well over 20 minutes a game. Yes, he has his flaws. And yes, he had a very bad game 7. Enough so that I have changed my opinion of him and agree that he doesn’t really have a future with the Leafs.

I don’t expect us to trade Gardiner. Rather, I think he will finish his contract with the Leafs. If we do trade Gardiner, we can probably still get a 1st round pick for him. If we have to throw in another player like Lievo or Carrick to obtain the higher pick, then it can be done.

I know you want to just give him away. But he still has value. And replacing him will be difficult.
