Maple Leafs trade Nazem Kadri, Jake Gardiner, James Van Riemsdyk and a 1st Rd pick in 2018 to the Oilers in exchange for Leon Draisaitl and RHD prospect Ryan Mantha

Easy no from Leafs

I Would rather have Kadri and his sweet contract than Draisaitl and his bloated contract.

Unless we sign JVR, then we are in no position to be trading him.

Mantha has good reviews, but has never played an nhl game, and would be a bit of a gamble for the Leafs. It makes more sense to draft our own player with the first and develop him, rather than trading away Gardiner and a first for Mantha. In fact, we already have someone just like him in Liljegren.

Kadri is probably the most improved player on the team since Babcock took over. I don’t think anyone, including Kadri himself, expected him to turn into a 30 goal scorer. Since he signed that contract, he has proven to be worth every penny and more. He’ll be our second line center for years to come, Now all Leafs need is depth center.

Can we now say marner is equal to kucherov. Looking at Tampa leaf matchup I say Toronto have better too nine but Tampa have real edge in defence but you just never know. The playoffs are a different animal but Boston are really a nasty team so if we get by Tampa it's better to face them in round two

Marner last 25 games he is on suck a roll

I once compared him to Gilmour but actually marner is that much better. Gilmour 3 seasons in Toronto was god.

Marner will be God Plus and he is only 20 years won't peak for another 8 years

Sign marner 8 years 7.5 million if he thinks that's enough. But he won't sign for another year as if he goes nuts next year 90 to 100 points he meets a extra 1.5 million. He is beteeen 7 million and 8.5 million next year is his key.
