Trade Gardiner, Carrick, Rosen, timishov, and 1st to LA for doughty. D pairings would be Reilly-doughty, hainsey-zaitsev, borgman-dermott with Polak as the spare.

Unless they are re-signed to their respective team (s) the likes of Erik Karlsson and Drew Doughty will no doubt create much trade buzz between now until the end of there contracts in 2018-19. The biggest issue for any team looking to trade for them right now is that they would be taking two big risks:

1.) They would be forfeiting prospects and draft picks via trade to have this player for less than two seasons with no guarantees of a re-sign.

2.) Each player will undoubtedly be looking for a long-term contract at Shea Weber type money (i. e. $7.8M - $9M) . That's a lot of cap space for one player to command for someone heading into there 30's. Not to mention that it would create very little wiggle room for signing younger prospects/ superstars.
