Pretty sure that Carolina won't make that trade. They don't need any LHD, they have tons. JVR would be a downgraded for Skinner.

And how on earth would you keep that team under the cap when you have to pay Nylander, Matthews, and Marner?

These proposals are moronic. And just because there are only so many spots on the roster does not mean you go and deplete your system by trading people away. Detroit was a model franchise for decades because their system was loaded and the Leafs should aspire to that.
