To DUCKS: J.BRACCO + T.DERMOTT + 2018 2nd round pick

Okay, I know that some people will think this is an "overpayment" but here me out!

There have been rumours of trading Brown for Manson, but he is valuable as he digs for pucks, go to the boards and fights for possession, I think BRACCO is the trade bait cause we already have too many skilled forwards and we are stacked up on RW. DERMOTT IS LD we just signed Rosen , and Neilson will be ready soon , I don't see a small 5"11 offensive d man LD who we have a lot making the team in the future. i don't care what you guys think about Manson, HE is a TOP 4 d man! On the ducks and he would be on the leafs, perfect pairing for Reilly 6"3 . We give up no roster players and instantly get better

Thoughts?

Couldn't agree more. Leafs will have to outbit other teams going for Manson and this seems like the best option without losing to much of the leafs successful roster from last season.

I like the deal and think it's fair for both teams. However, if left unprotected, this trade would need to be made with Vegas as they would have to select him and the Leafs trade for him.

If he's protected, then yes, this can happen on Thursday.
