Fair Trade in my opinion.

Winnipeg: JVR (LW) Dermott (D) Bibeau (G), late 2nd Round (2017)

Toronto: Trouba (D) Connor (LW) Comrie (G) 4th Round (2017), and 5th Round (2018)

Leafs have three 2nd Round picks and it doesn't hurt to give up one of them but late 2nd round is preferred. Based on how leafs are having their improved season, for their 1st Round they should select Callan Foote (D) at the 10th-20th pick. 2nd Round should mainly focus on a young talented goalie, so either Oettinger (G) or Skinner (G) should be selected.

If you look rosters of NHL teams there are a boatload of defenceman that will be coming available. Vegas can only take 9 but there are many more teams will move to avoid the risk of losing them. Then Vegas will be stacked and they can't really compete for a while so they will trade to build up their farm system. Here are some names.

I genuinely like the mould of this trade. Few issues: what about the Trouba doesn't want to play in Canada narrative? I also think the Jets are very high on Connor. Not much I can argue in the way of value, seems fair to me
