This deal is better than the last because if Murphy can't shore up his defensive liabilities then we haven't lost too much.

Carolina would get a prospect who is known to be a shooter which they do tend to lack. Holland is just a plug to fill a depth hole on that roster.

That actually is not bad. Murphy has been almost a bust to this point and Carolina is flush with D prospects.

I think that deal would work, Carolina obviously isn't sold on Murphy considering his demotion to the AHL.
