Leafs need a #2 center and help on the back end. This allows them to draft a defenseman in the 1st round this year.

Avs are on the verge of a "rebuild" if they finish bottom 5. Not to mention Duchene's name has been in rumours for years. Bozak gives them a decent #2/ 3 center at a lesser cap hit, who could be dealt for picks in a year.

If the Leafs make a major trade it will be for defensive help or draft picks/prospects. Right now Bozak/JVR/Marner is their best line.
