JVR may become a target of the teams that were looking to land Vesey and didn't. The most logical being NYI. Trade proposals are in order of preference!

Don't think that CBJ or NJ would be a fit, they are IMO in rebuilds too.

To TOR: F - M. Dal Colle + 2017 1st

To NYI: F - JVR

or

To TOR: F - L. Crouse + 2017 1st

To FLA: F - JVR

or

To TOR: F - A. Mantha + 2017 1st

To DET: F - JVR

or

To TOR: 2017 1st + 2018 2nd

To BUF: F - JVR

The Leafs then actually play Lupul this year to try and improve trade value and look to unload him at the trade deadline or buy him out next summer.

Why would they trade Lupul? He is the type of player they would keep so that he could be exposed in the expansion draft.

Poor JVR. He is shopped from team to team like an unwanted mangy cat. You want other teams up and coming players and squeal how overrated the player the posters are trolling for is when objective posters say the trade is too one sided in the leafs favor. JVR is great a player he is and worth the trade and more is the inevitable reply, followed by how little the respondent knows about hockey. Then the next post he is being offered up again like day old bread. Boy what loyalty some the pro leaf posters have to their so called stars. No wonder the latest saviors of Tor hockey, who will put an end to their 50 year cupless streak Stamkos and Vessey signed other places. Leave the poor JVR alone already.
