Given age, experience and status: I don't consider Hyman, Sosh, Loov, Leivo, Holl, or Leipsic to be prospects any more.


Right now forwards:
The Leafs currently have no experienced top RW on the team; question is, do they go get one?

Connor Brown - He's ready to fly. There is two openings and if the Leafs do not trade for an experienced RW; he will get a really good look. Prediction: Opening on the RW with JVR and Kadri.

Honorable Mention: Tobias Lindberg RW - will also get a good opportunity to play. Has everything except the game speed down.

By the end of the year forwards:

Kerby Rychel - make or break year for Kerby. Time to prove he belongs. Prediction: Opening on the 4th line, depending on where they put Martin and if they play Michalek/
Greening.


Right now on D:

Connor Carrick: Played well 2nd half last year and in the playoffs with the Marlies. Did pretty good up with the Leafs. Got a new contract and might be ready to move up.

By the end of the year on D:

Andrew Neilson - Size, aggressive, hits, fights, good scoring numbers, mostly needs to improve his skating and continue to learn how to play defense. Has extra desired value as a right D.

Honorable Mention: Dermott - progressing nicely but left side logjam
Longshot: Valiev - may be his year but again a left side log jam.

Goalies: Whomever they trade for. Woll will be wasting years in college.
