This works cap wise (actually it helps Pitsburgh) and this seems like fair value this would put Pitsburgh over the top.

Why on earth would you put JVR with Kessel. JVR's numbers were high before he played with Kessel, lower while he played with Kessel and again higher after the trade.

They do not compliment each other; that is old news. You missed the edition.

We don't need Kunitz, Parscal Dupuis, or Derrick Pouliot. We got enough garbage from them last time. Pouliot is a left D. Tons of those around better than him, even at 22. The other two need Depends, so they don't leave a stain on the ice.

The Leafs are in a rebuild; not running an old age way station.

The Penguins are going to be a playoff team again maybe even to the finals, so the pick is not worth all that much.

And yes there should have been a clause, that if they win the cup they take the whole remainder of the contract or at least give us another 1st.

The stench of Phatdog will prevail in the Leaf toilets until 2022.

They will be unloading Fleury before the deadline, Daley, Kunitz and maybe Bonino and Dupuis. All on their last year except Fleury.

But I'll shed no tears for their cap turmoil. They deserve it. I just hope PC doesn't bail them out with another brain fart like he did for NJD.
