Well not so fast big daddy. if that first round pick next year isn't lottery protected then that changes things. plus Blackwood is a good goalie prospect I thought. it may be worth considering;)

No thanks. JVR gets that without Sparks, and we don't need to get a prospect backup as return for our most valuable asset.

Besides it being not enough in return for the Leafs, the Leafs need an expendable or exempt goalie because of the upcoming expansion draft. Blackwood if I remember right is exempt, but the deal still requires more back.

Maybe throw in a quality exempt prospect; maybe John Quenville.

But they may not be willing to move him after moving Larson.
