David poile said a couple days ago he would like to improve his offence. he wants a good young player that can be around for years to come. He also said we would move a defence player to get something done. When I heard this and I looked at there team, I think james van riemsdyk would fit there team perfect. Keep in mind nashville has 11,147.958 in cap space.

Toronto: james van riemsdyk

Nashville:juuse saros, Jack Dougherty, second round pick.


Nashville doesn't give up a top defenceman on there team. But a defence man that has the potential to become a top 4 if you take your time with him and let him develop. we also get juuse saros who is a top goalie who is only 20 years old and this year has a record of 12-3 scouts around the league have said he could be the goalie to take pekka rinne job in a couple leafs he's projected to be that great. Something the leafs need for the future a goalie. And lastly a second round pick. To nashville they get a scorer they need to help them in the playoffs and for years to come van riemsdyk on there team will surly thrive.

There is no way they will ever give us Jones. that's there future number one and he is only 21. Stop over valuing are players. We would be getting a projected number 1 goalie n a top 4 defence man. And a second it's a great deal for both teams

Stop undervaluing our players. JVR is a great power forward on a good contract. He's worth more then what u think is fair for him. If PREDS want a young scorer they will have to give up someone they don't want to to fill that hole. Not a bunch of spare parts

Go up to someone that has hockey knowledge and tell them what you told me they would laugh right in the face. Jvr is turning 27 and after the next year he needs a new contract. He will get paid! Jones is 21 and has more then enough potential to become a number 1 defenseman.

Never in a million years would nashville give up Jones we would have to add if we wanted him ask who you want. You clearly don't no the level of talent I have put in that trade. Search them up more then fair. Your just one of those people who put the big young talented players out there but have no clue what it would take to get them.

You only bring up big names that have no chance on getting traded jvr is turning 27. Jones is 21 n is the future number 1 defenceman they will not trade him for jvr no way. Clearly u didn't either until u Google they're roster and did research on there players. Stop acting like u know everything about every player. I said he is turning 27 looks like you can't read also and yes I do have a lot of hockey knowledge. If you remember the last Olympics, jusse saros was the goalie that faced team canada they took over 50 shots and he only allowed 1 goal. People on here post ridiculously trade rumors that never will happen just dreaming of that fact it will happen. Everyone though with Kessel we would not need to retain salary.

JVR would not pry Jones from Nashville unless you add s decent prospect IMO.

Nashville doesn't need to trade anyone right now. JVR goes to a team desperate for scoring and willing to give up good young players. JVR stays here; ditto for Kadri and Rielly.

Nashville is a good fit for a trade with Toronto, but the defenseman the Leafs should target is Ellis. RH shot, excellent possession numbers, very reasonable cap hit.

I posted a proposal a bit ago involving Ellis, Suros and Dougherty for JVR and Polak. Nashville wins the trade cause they recieve the best player with a great contract, and a replacment in Polak with a RH shot but more defensive. I got a lot of unbelievables. I too think Toronto and Nashville make good trading partners. Torono is 20th in scoring but 27th in the standings. If the give up JVR they'll probably fall to around 26/27 in NHl scoring. Which is fine by me cause my goal as a fan is to get as high a draft pick as possibly. Looks like toronto will only have 1 first round pick cause I also don't think the penguins are making the playoffs
