With Winnipeg almost forced to trade Laine they will want to replace Laine with a Top 6 forward (WNylander) an NHL Player that can play in the bottom 6 (Engvall) and either a 1st Round Pick or a Top Prospect (Sandin).

Looks like The Leafs are trying to put together a Championship Team and getting Laine makes them that much better, they will still have to fix The Defense some probably through Trade but at Forward with this proposal they are probably the best forward unit in The NHL.

Thoughts ?

Not for me. I have no real interest in Laine.

I agree with RLF. I’d personally rather keep Nylander. got to be a reason wpg is willing to trade Laine. not to mention Nylander is locked up longer.

All I remember is Matthews always giving laine weird looks when forced to interview or take pictures together during draft. It was like preppy meet gamer

Deal wise seems about right except nylander has term and laine and Dubas has a tough negotiation next summer.

I’d pass for that but laine Matthews on each side pp marner would be having too much fun and Tavares HEADS UP.
