I think that’s a massive overpayment on the first trade, also we don’t even have a 2020 1st.

I really like the idea of Martinez as he has one year left on his deal and he had experience playing with Muzzin but no way the leafs give up liljegren. In my opinion kapanen would be more likely. haven’t thought out a full trade tho with kapanen and Martinez a part of it.

I’m finding a lot of people on this site trade Johnsson over Kapanen but I see that as less likely. I think kapanen has more trade value because of his speed and other teams feel he could slot in top 6 for them right away. with mikheyev out for months yet I also wouldn’t trade Johnsson even with Engvall being a pleasant surprise as johnsson is signed for the next couple years and Engvall and mikheyev both need a contract. If we were to trade johnsson I’d wait till the offseason

As for your lines after all star break I think it’d be smarter to run

That’s if we were to get nurse. but man it’d be nice to not have Sandin use up the first year of his ELC.

I say the pairings because muzzin and Martinez have played a lot together and after a few games should get chemistry back. and dermott and holl have played together a decent amount too in the marlies so it may make more sense that way.

I prefer Kapanen over Johnson so would trade Johnson but as was stated Kapanen probably has more value.

I don't see the need for both nurse and Martinez. Who sits in the press box when Reilly and Muzzin come back in this scenario?
