This is a dumpster fire of a proposal. Each subsequent trade get more and more garbage. Cool theories, poor execution.

It looks like you are trying to give up a lot of depth and underperforming players in order to buy LTIR contracts that you are using against the cap space to allow you overages to pick up a few valuable players that give the Leafs a more balanced team. You meet all our biggest need: backup and eventual replacement for Andersen. Check. Proper 1RHD to play beside Reilly. Check. More muscle and grit. Check. Nylander gone. Check. I didn’t Che k the salaries, I assume you did the homework yourself (HA! ) . Who knows if it works. It’s a good idea, and with a bit of tweaking it could be a lot me realistic. Though I think Nylander for Dumba is more accurate, and you can insert Johnsson or Dermott into the Columbus deal and that balances the trades out a bit more in my eyes.

I would have no problem putting Barrie on third line and promoting Savard to 1RHD and putting Dumba with Muzzin.

@ Finnicent or however you spell that, geezs a little hard on the the ol’hound dog’s trade proposal don’t you think. The only mistake made is not including the LTIR behind Gaborik and Hossa. I didn’t trade the core 4 Tavares, Riley, Marner and Mathews. I drop extra contracts so we are not floating around the 50 mark for flexibility and without checking I believe I kept it under the cap. To LeafsGM’s point I didn’t do my homework on the salary but playing on this site has allowed me to get close without getting to crazy!
