I like Kane more than Nylander, and I assume SJ does too, which is why Leafs pay up. If you think it’s too much overpay, we take Ferraro back.

I do like that buffalo deal. middlestadt i think could benifit much like johnsson from playing on the matthews line. you don't have him there but that's alright. mccabe could really help this D core to toughen up a bit. he's a pretty big and undervalued guy. matthews won't be getting cheap shots with kane on the ice with him. i think these deal don't benefit the leafs overall but will benefit matthews big time.
