25, 6’6”, 230lbs, 8g, 13pts, +7, 22:43atoi, 73hits, 92blks, 29gv, 16blk, 49.9%cf, ranked 24th (Corsica), nhl doesn’t have him ranked top 25

Muzzin has won two stanley cups, is a two way defender, and has overall better stats than Parayko, as this is reflected in current rankings by both Corsica and NHL, where Muzzin consistently ranks higher than Parayko on a regular basis.

We paid 1st + 2 prospects for Muzzin.

Sorry. Meant to say NHL doesn’t have Parayko ranked top 50. Either way, the point is made. Muzzin has Parayko beat in virtually all categories, and we didn’t even have to give up a single roster player to acquire him.

Thats a no thanks. Parayko is younger and better. He is having an off year points wise. He also plays the #1rhd role. Which muzzin can't do. Instead you guys moved your best defender to his off side to compensate. Blues Say hells no

Also parayko has 4 years.

Im assuming leafs gm this is based around the trade i proposed yesterday in which i think we could add another pick tops to make it happen. People are forgetting what karlsson ( top 5 defenseman in the league went for. ) Parayko even with term doesn't get you a karlsson return.

Actually Randy, I posted this just to make the point that you yourself just made here: Parayko is not a superstar defenseman who is going to command an outrageous return like some contributors on this site seem to think. He’s a very good defenseman, yes. But to believe he is going to bring a return larger than Hamilton, or Karlsson, or Muzzin, or any number of better defensemen traded before him has brought, is a bit of a stretch.
