We now have Riley, Muzzin, Gardiner, and Dermott on our left side. Honestly might be the best left side depth in the nhl.but Hainsey and zaitsev just aren't getting the job done on the right side.

No need for both Pesce and Montour if one of them is playing in the top 6. We wouldn’t be able to afford both of them.

Right now I would take Liljgren over Pesce. So no to the Hurricanes trade.

So if you take out the canes 2019 3rd, Hainsey, and Ritchie, the ducks trade seems fair. I want a cheaper contract though now that we have Muzzin. Gudas, Demelo, Mayfield, and possibly Justin Braun are all guys I would target to put beside Gardiner.

We don’t need another RW, if you targeting a top 9 forward go for Nyquist or Dzingle. Both can play LW which is where we need a little bit of help.

Leafs may want Simmonds, but, can save the monies next year for Matthews, Marner + Kapanen for a total of $23 MM.

Maybe Leafs can re-sign Ryan Miller for $1.5MM and have a real backup goaltender.
