Williams is playing some damn good hockey for a guy his age. He’d make for a good rental if the price was right. If Leafs don’t want to pay 1st round picks or high end prospects for a top UFA, Williams would be a cheaper second choice. Gives us a bit of depth for the stretch in case of injury, he would be good insurance. A proven clutch playoff performer as well, he is a stark contrast compared to a certain defenseman on the team we all know and love to hate.
