I like the Carolina deal.
If Carolina doesn’t intend to resign Brett Pesce (UFA) I would like to see his rights added to this deal so that the Leafs have the first shot at signing him.

That’s a strong lineup outside of Reaves whom I would like to see gone.
Unfortunately Dakota Joshua is an RFA and after his showing this year, particularly in the playoffs I would imagine Vancouver will do everything in their power to resign him.

I’m not a huge fan of resigning Edmundson though it would depend on the price.
If Edmundson wants in the vicinity of the $3.5M he was paid this year, then it is far too much to pay a bottom pairing defenseman.

Brossoit would be a terrific replacement for Samsonov and Duclair for Robertson.

Dakoda is one hit wonder. but because the leafs traded him like 6 yrs ago. and did OK in the playoffs. we have to have him. and while we're at it. so we trade the best player a decent RD for a player that wants to be#1 and a 1st and second in 25.l.

He can’t handle a forecheck, coughs up the puck at the most crucial times and puts himself constantly in positions of getting knocked on his rear end…if he was left handed he’d be in the echl….

Marner is a cream puff . he needs to go.
