A major culture change to address size, grit, toughness & defense is needed, a minor tweak & the Leafs will lose badly in the playoffs.

Getzlaf 3, Rakell 3.8, Lindholm 5.2 ÷ 2 = 2.6, Manson 4.21 & Kesler 6.875 ÷ 2 = 3.4 to Toronto for Nylander 7, Liljegren, Holl 2, Mzarek 3.8, Kerfoot 3.5, Knies, Abrussezze & a 1st rd pick in 2022 & 2023. Anaheim eats half of Kesler & Lindholm caphit. Incoming caphit approx. 17 million, outgoing caphit 16.3.

Dermott 1.5 & a 2nd & 3rd pick in 2022 to Vancouver for Schenn 850 K & Halak 1.5.

Muzzin on LTIR saves 5.4 million, covering the 2.2 million caphit difference in the two trades.

Style wise Kesler & Rakell a very good fit with Tavares, Getzlaf gives you a dominant 3rd line. Manson & Lindholm solidify the defense. Halak a better option & more consistent, even at his current age than Mzarek. Team would have depth needed, as injuries always play a factor.

Love getzlaf and would trade for him in a second but then the proposal gets silly but stays fun as always.
