I like this deal. however, Dallas even dealing Goglioski have cap issues. they would need to give us a cap dump

Dickinson and Honka are good but the value is in the 1st rounder in order to use with 30th overall to move into top 10

I like Honka but this deal doesn't help the Leafs and is an overpayment. We have enough goodish young forwards; real need is RH defenders and a goalie (in the next year or so)

I'm all for trading kadri but

Dickinson aside, Dallas does not trade 2 first round picks (honka 2014) with this year's pick for kadri.

Think about it, they would trade 2 firsts for a number 3 center. He plays behind seguin and spezza. No matter what leaf fans think of spezza from his days in ottawa, at 33 he is better then kadri still today.

Even if this is a realistic trade conversation, Dallas pulls their first off the table with trade still being 20 year old RHD former first round pick for number 3 center. Dickinson aside.

My bad,
Wasn't aware Dickinson was first pick year before honka.

Makes my point even more. Dallas gives up 3 firsts for number 3 center. No chance.
