Since Vancouver seems very high on the idea of being competitive for a run this year, why not try and make a trade that way, maybe.

To Van: JVR, Pitts 1st, Leivo, 2017 2nd

To Tor: Demko, Virtanen, Van 1st

I wasn't positive on value but something based off of this would be interesting.

Just because Vancouver went out and got a 24 yr old dman in gubranson for 19 yr old McCann doesn't mean they are looking to deal all there youth for vets. Remember Hamuis is a UFA so they basically made a deal to replace him. that's all.

Virtanen was 7 g 6a -8 or so. Not a good first year. We have lots of prospects to surpass that.

2nd round goalie is a gamble.

JVR is worth all that by himself.

The 6th OA would be valuable to us; if you want, maybe remove the 30th. The deal should still fly.

Most reasonable JVR trade I have seen yet. I would pull the trigger. Nice trade!
